I’m Hosanna, a faith-based artist living in the Gold Coast hinterland. I’m a mum of two teenage boys (oh the joys, I hear you say!)

Although Australia has been home for 30 years, I was born in Seattle, USA (somehow, I still can’t seem to shake the accent). My early years were spent living in India, Europe and the United States and filled with extraordinary challenges and constant upheaval.

At 15, I moved to Australia to live with my mother and siblings. After finishing University, I worked in the financial industry. After working myself into the ground in the corporate world, my body barely coping, I crumbled after chronic illness took hold. I sought healing in many places.

But in 2021, things started to shift.

Picking up a paintbrush, I discovered a joy long buried. Painting offered nourishment for my soul and hope for my future. It reminded me there was still beauty and wonder in life. I began painting as a form of therapy. And it was here that my journey really began.

I found that painting transported me into a different world completely, and afterwards, I would feel a beautiful peace.
